Of course, not all experiences are without room for improvement, and a few reviews mentioned the cleanliness of the restrooms as an area needing attention. Lovely little cafe with a great selection. I had a cheese sandwich and whatever chutney was put on it was INCREDIBLE! Lovely and clean. Bead frames for the kids to play with. There is also chess/draughts and snakes & ladders boards painted on the table which was quirky but would be better if the pieces were provided. Reduced rating by 1 star just because the toilets are not the cleanest and are also incredibly small which was difficult to navigate with a toddler.

I loved this place. It has some fantastic food and drinks. They had some games to play, which was painted on the tables, brilliant idea to keep the children occupied. Service was fast and the staff were helpful and polite.

Top Mark's for working under pressure, the espresso coffee machine decided to have a moment of not wishing to work along with no boiling water for tea, but service continued with a smile... great Rocky Road and Blueberry Shortcake saved the day along with a good range of sandwiches and pasties, only complaint being the sausage rolls being on the small side. Great play area for children outside just far enough away to maintain relaxed atmosphere for oldies.

Lovely little place with a quirky personality. Had a really nice tuna mayo sandwich and a cup of tea and served by some really lovely ladies (i thought the young lady with pink hair was really cute too ) but they were all lovely, polite, friendly and the caves visit underneath was awesome too.

Delicious cake (there's much more to eat than cake though!). Good size teapot - plenty of tea! The music was superb, creating a lovely atmosphere. I was sitting in the café awaiting the return of my family and absolutely loved the song choices. I didn't want to move Highly recommended.

First class service , good stop for a simple but well done lunch in the Forest of Dean. Staff on it , and not phased by me losing my big spoon with the number ‘

The Lamproom Cafe is a nice cafe right next to the Clearwell Caves. A good spot to eat with family and kids before going to visit the caves. The cafe also has a nice outdoor space, a picnic area and a park for children. Highly recommend if you are in the area with children.
